The Big Move

It's official! We are members of the Benbrook community! The boys and I have moved into our new home and settled in rather quickly. We have great neighbors, a super fun pool, and an entire summer to relax. Can't beat that!

Forty Things Before Forty Years

1. Take my kids to the Grand Wailea in Hawaii

2. Landscape my backyard so that it's a haven

3. Clean out all the closets in my house and organize them

4. Make a recipe box - put recipes in it - and USE THEM

5. Lose 30 pounds

6. Redo my fence on the side so that's funcational and pretty

7. Add curb appeal to my house

8. Find a creative outlet

9. Become more faithful and have a better relationship with God

10. Teach my children to put God before all else in their lives

11. Clean and organize my garage

12. Road trip with my kids - somewhere we've never been before

13. Organize all of our pictures

14. Take my LPC test and start my supervision hours

15. Get birthday calendar in order and start sending birthday cards to friends and family

16. Do something with friends at least once a month

17. Nurture friendships

18. Look into volunteering to help battered women/children once a month

19. Understand local and national politics, form thoughtful opinions about issues, and vote

20. Organize all junk drawers

21. Get a cheaper car

22. Learn to live more frugally

24. Figure out how to backup my computer

25. Have the boys make a list of things they want to do before they are 18 and start working on it . . .

27. Have a vegetable garden

28. Paint back concrete porch

29. Learn to live with less TV

30. Donate to NPR

31. Making being healthy my family's lifestyle

32. Figure out how to get all kids at my campus a new coat for winter.

33. Have a family game night once a week

34. Implement story time with the kids again - at least once a week

35. Use this blog as a record of the boys' lives - faithfully

36. Switch my family to brown bread

37. Cook more in a week than we eat out - for a solid month

38. Figure out how to take our bikes in my car to the Trinity Trails and go for a bike ride

39. Get season tickets to Bass and Casa Mañana.

40. Be content with all aspects of my life. Know that I living the exact life that I want to live.
